FINAL MOCK DRAFT

April 24th, 2024

1

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Caleb Williams

This pick is locked in. Caleb Williams is ready to compete now, and the situation Ryan Poles has built in Chicago is equipped to help a young QB succeed.

QB | USC | 6'1 | 215

2

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Drake Maye

The betting odds and media noise is overwhelmingly suggesting Jayden Daniels here. It could all end up being right and I wouldn't be surprised. But I've fallen into this trap too many times. The NFL Draft is full of surprises, and I have a feeling that Adam Peters has kept this one quiet all along.

QB | UNC | 6'4 | 230

3

new-england-patriots-logo-transparent.png

JJ McCarthy

Although Jayden Daniels is my higher ranked QB, I have a feeling New England sees JJ as the better fit. They are a young and rebuilding team. The timeline allows their roster to grow as JJ develops. He's 3 years younger and probably did a number on Robert Kraft.

QB | MICHIGAN | 6'3 | 202

4

oakland-raiders-logo-wallpapers-wallpaper-cave-1.png

Jayden Daniels *TRADE*

Jayden Daniels could very well be the pick at 2, and it wouldn't surpise me. But in this scenario he's not. His relationship with Antonio Pierce is very real, and if he slips past 2 or 3, expect the Raiders to make a push. The Vikings, Broncos, and Giants will all be in play to try and grab their preferred QB.

QB | LSU | 6'4 | 210

Carolina Panthers

5

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Marvin Harrison Jr. *TRADE*

This might be a long shot, but if the Bears see Marvin Harrison Jr. available at 5, what's stopping them from replicating the Texans draft day last year? This would create immense energy in Chicago and set up a young team to compete immediately. I know the Chargers would love to gain more future picks.

WR | OHIO STATE | 6'4 | 205

6

new-york-giants-logo-transparent.png

Malik Nabers

The Giants haven't been able to find a true difference maker at the WR position. They've tried their luck with guys who possess specific traits, but need a do-it-all & high-floor player who can just make plays. Nabers is arguably my favourite player in the draft and will instantly uplift this lacklustre unit.

WR | LSU | 6'0 | 200

7

tennessee-titans-logo-transparent.png

Joe Alt

Although I'm not high on Levis, it was difficult to play behind that offensive line. By adding Alt to the group, you're getting an elite protector for a decade plus. The tandem of Alt & Skoronski instantly creates a young duo in the trenches and provides a physical identity in Tennessee.

OT | NOTRE DAME | 6'8 | 315

8

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Rome Odunze *TRADE*

I think the Cardinals would be slightly hesitant to pass up Marvin Harrison Jr., but luckily they follow the same recipe they deployed last year - moving out of the top 10, and then back in it. They still grab a top 3 WR while gaining additional assets for a growing roster.

WR | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 215

9

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

Brock Bowers *TRADE*

I think the Chargers would love to trade down. They desperately need pass-catchers, but it's not in the Harbaugh DNA. However, this pick is a compromise on both sides. Bowers can become Herbert's go to guy, while also establushing a physical identity and contributing in the trenches.

TE | GEORGIA | 6'4 | 240

10

New-York-Jets-Logo.png

Taliese Fuaga

With Odunze and Bowers off the board, a tackle seems likely. The additions of Tyron Smith & Morgan Moses provide flexibility for their plans, but they are by no means long-term solutions. Fuaga is a fundamental and physical player who can become a long-time starter.

OT | OREGON ST. | 6'6 | 334

11

minnesota-vikings-logo-transparent.png

Byron Murphy II

In just about every single mock I have created, the Vikings trade up for a QB. I have a feeling they prefer Maye or McCarthy - and in this scenario, they strike out. If they stick and pick, interior defensive line is a major need. Byron Murphy II could become a force for this Vikings D.

DL | TEXAS | 6'1 | 308

12

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Terrion Arnold *TRADE*

If the Broncos can't get their QB here, they have no reason to pick this early. With many needs to address, they trade out. A trigger-happy Howie Roseman fixes his CB issue by selecting the most talented defensive prospect in the draft.

CB | ALABAMA | 6'0 | 196

13

atlanta-falcons-logo-transparent.png

Dallas Turner *TRADE*

The Falcons have no business selecting their defensive player in the chaos of this offensive-heavy top 10. Now, they get to trade down, accumulate assets, and still get their guy at pick 13. This is a great scheme fit for new HC Raheem Morris.

EDGE | ALABAMA | 6'4 | 242

14

new-orleans-saints-logo-transparent.png

Olu Fashanu

With Ryan Ramczyk getting older and less healthy, and Trevor Penning not showing up yet, the Saints look to upgrade their offensive line - a unit that has enabled their previous success over the years. With Fashanu on the board at 14, it's a logical fit.

OT | PENN STATE | 6'6 | 319

15

indianapolis-colts-logo-transparent.png

Quinyon Mitchell

Chris Ballard loves athleticism from a prospect standpoint. DB is one of their biggest needs. Quinyon Mitchell just tested off the charts in front of the home crowd in Indianapolis. This is a perfect fit. The Colts would be getting a long, physical, fast, and skilled corner who can quickly revamp this secondary.

CB | TOLEDO | 6'0 | 196

16

buffalo-bills-logo-transparent.png

Brian Thomas Jr. *TRADE*

After losing both Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the Bills will be aggressive if they like a WR prospect. Here, they jump a couple potential WR-needy teams and target Brian Thomas Jr.. The LSU product is a physical freak who has the potential to take over games.

WR | LSU | 6'4 | 205

17

jacksonville-jaguars-logo-transparent.png

Cooper DeJean

With the 3 most likely targets (Thomas Jr., Arnold, and Mitchell) off the board, the Jaguars pivot to another defensive back. He hasn't gotten as much attention throughout this process, but DeJean is an elite athlete who has game-changing versatility.

CB | IOWA | 6'1 | 207

18

1024px-Cincinnati_Bengals_logo.svg.png

JC Latham

Despite the signing of Trent Brown, the Bengals still need to find a long-term answer at the second tackle spot. Latham--an enormous guy--fits the mold of what Cincinnati has targeted in the past. His precsence, next to Orlando Brown, will keep Burrow healthy.

OT | ALABAMA | 6'6 | 360

19

608968b9d598a5000448eaa2.png

Troy Fautanu

The Rams will look to build upfront and win through the line of scrimmage. Fautanu is an extremely athletic prospect who can perfectly execute some of the nuances in Sean McVay's scheme.

OG/OT | WASHINGTON | 6'4 | 317

20

768px-Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg.png

Graham Barton

The Steelers finally invested in their O-line last year with the selection of Broderick Jones. They go down the same avenue once again, turning their weakness into a strength. Barton is an elite athlete who has the versatility to play anywhere on this Steelers offensive-line.

OG/OT | DUKE | 6'5 | 314 |

21

miami-dolphins-logo-transparent.png

Laiatu Latu

With many of the scheme fit offensive-lineman off the board, the Dolphins turn to another need. The health of Phillips and Chubb was a major issue last year. Latu can add to this EDGE room, and become a force in the NFL.

EDGE | UCLA | 6'5 | 265

22

denver-broncos-logo-transparent.png

Jared Verse *TRADE*

The Broncos could truly go any way. They have a ton of holes to fill, and no sense of direction. Verse is amazing value here at pick 22, and Denver could use some help on the front lines.

EDGE | FLORIDA ST. | 6'4 | 260

23

minnesota-vikings-logo-transparent.png

Michael Penix Jr.

I really don't know what the Vikings would do if they strike out on their trade up candidates. But at pick 23, with a roster who can support a good QB now, Michael Penix Jr. could have the chance to step in and win right away.

QB | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 213

24

dallas-cowboys-logo-transparent.png

Jackson Powers-Johnson

With Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz out the door, the Cowboys stay true to their roots. They could easily go tackle here, but I absolutely love this fit, and there has been reported interest throughout the process.

OC | OREGON | 6'3 | 320

25

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Jer'Zhan Newton

The Packers don't have too many holes, I could also see them going OT or CB. In this scenario, they beef up the D-line, taking Jer'Zhan Newton. His ability to rush the passer from the insider will add a new element to this defence.

DL | ILLINOIS | 6'2 | 295

26

tampa-bay-buccaneers-logo-transparent.png

Chop Robinson

The Buccaneers always find a way to draft defensive lineman early. Robinson is an explosive and high upside pick. He will bring a fun element for Todd Bowles to work with.

EDGE | PENN STATE | 6'3 | 250

27

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Amarius Mims

Despite signing Jonah Williams, the Cardinals have made it clear that they still need to upgrade the tackle position long-term. Mims is a high-upside specimen who can become an elite force next to Paris Johnson Jr.

OT | GEORGIA | 6'6 | 340

28

seattle-seahawks-logo-transparent.png

Darius Robinson *TRADE*

After trading down, new HC Mike Macdonald will look to bolster the trenches and replicate the defensive success seen in Baltimore. Robinson is a versatile and powerful player. A sneaky name is Marshawn Kneeland.

EDGE | MISSOURI | 6'5 | 296

29

detroit-lions-logo-transparent.png

Kool-Aid McKinstry

The Lions will likely look to their defense at pick here. In this scenario, they steal one of the best defenders in the draft. He hasn't got much buzz during the pre-draft proccess, but McKinstry is a physical and battle tested defender who can become a legit CB1 in the NFL.

CB | ALABAMA | 6'1 | 195

30

baltimore-ravens-logo-transparent.png

Adonai Mitchell

With OBJ gone, and a lack of WR talent beyond Zay Flowers, the Ravens stay competitive with the other powerhouses in the AFC. Mitchell is a twitchy and athletic prospect who would be a great compliment in this offence.

WR | TEXAS | 6'4 | 196

31

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b55.png

Jordan Morgan

The 49ers biggest issue in the Super Bowl was their offensive line. Morgan is a versatile, athletic, and skilled prospect who can play multiple spots next year.

OT | ARIZONA | 6'4 | 325

32

kansas-city-chiefs-logo-transparent.png

Xavier Worthy

I could see the Chiefs going tackle here, but that isn't fun! This pick would probably come down to Worthy, McConkey, or Legette.
