OFFENSIVE TACKLE

1

Joe Alt

OT | NOTRE DAME | 6'8 | 322

i.png

Alt is an extremely well-rounded player with the prototypical build. He’s an absolute mauler in the run game—consistently demonstrating his effortless power to move a pile back. Alt is always alert, showing his awareness and making plays in breakdown situations. His production at Notre Dame was incredible—not allowing a sack and rarely allowing a pressure. Alt is quick, nimble, and understands how to process defensive schemes on the fly. Sometimes he does allow defenders to get too close to him, forfeiting the leverage of his wingspan. Nonetheless, Alt is a blue-chip talent who should be a top-tier player at his position.

Olu Fashanu

OT | PENN STATE | 6'6 | 319

i copy.png

Fashanu is a prototypical tackle with the ideal frame. He’s been extremely reliable, never allowing a sack and rarely ever allowing a pressure. Fashanu is a smart player with good processing skills. He’s able to recover in tough situations and make the necessary adjustments mid-play. Fashanu is a smooth, fundamental, and balanced player who effectively takes the right angles and sets himself up for success. Being nit-picky, his stance is a bit upright, he’s not an aggressive finisher in the run game, and isn’t overly athletic. Nonetheless, Fashanu is a blue-chip talent who should be a force for years to come.

Grade: Round 1

Joe Thomas

3

Taliese Fuaga

OT | OREGON ST. | 6'6 | 334

i-2.png

Fuaga is a thick and sturdy tackle with a ton of great production in college. His biggest asset is his raw power in the run game. Fuaga can effortlessly move people off their spots and create big opportunities. His use of hands is effective and strong, and a true weapon in his arsenal. Although adequate, Fuaga is still a work in progress as a pass-protector. He’s prone to being moved off his spot by quicker finesse moves and can be vulnerable against more explosive EDGE defenders. Fuaga can be a dominant player in a prioritized rushing attack who will continue to improve in the pass game.

Grade: Round 1

4

JC Latham

OT | ALABAMA | 6'6 | 360

i-1.png

Latham is an absolutely massive RT with a thick and sturdy frame. His low/wide base gives him a great centre of gravity and sets him up with a sustainable foundation for success. Latham effectively uses his hands to dominate at the point of attack. He has effortless power in the run game and is surprisingly coordinated for his size. Latham can become vulnerable to quick moves and redirects, but has shown adequacy/ability in that area. Better suited for a prioritized rushing attack, Latham can be a force in the NFL.

Grade: Round 1

DJ Fluker

5

Amarius Mims

OT | GEORGIA | 6'6 | 340

i.png

Mims is another huge tackle with a great frame and elite production in college. His natural power pops on tape, constantly utilizing his firm base and impressive tools. Mis has great awareness and a high motor in pass-protection, always staying alert of what’s around him. He takes great angles and sets himself up for success. Mims has good footwork but he’s more choppy and rugged than he is agile and smooth. Currently, his run-blocking is more toolsy than it is technical, and he needs to do a better job of locating his man downfield. Mims is an awesome pass-protector with the traits to become elite in the run game. Should be a great tackle in the NFL.

Grade: Round 1

TBD

6

Kingsley Suamataia

OT | BYU | 6'6 | 325

i-3.png

Suamataia is an intriguing prospect with a nice blend of size and tools. He has a sturdy and thick frame, consistently showing his anchor in both pass protection and in the run game. Suamataia moves very well for his size—he’s explosive and agile, and can contribute on the second level. He has strong hands, but will need to place them more consistently. Sometimes, Suamataia can be vulnerable to more slippery defenders and will need to get a better feel in these situations. Nonetheless, he has a great foundation of size and mobility and should be a quality starter in the NFL.

Grade: Round 2

Penei Sewell

7

Jordan Morgan

OT | ARIZONA | 6'4 | 325

i-5.png

Morgan is a versatile tackle with a solid build. His combination of burst/mobility and strength makes him an intriguing prospect. Morgan is a balanced pass-protector who effectively uses his hands to engage defenders. He’s constantly alert and does a good job of seeking out stunts and other complex schemes. Morgan sometimes has trouble sustaining blocks and needs to do a better job of finding the right angles. Additionally, with his upright stance, he sometimes allows defenders to get too close to his frame and loses leverage altogether. Morgan has a few things to work on, but has the tools to be a very good starting tackle at the next level.

Grade: Round 2

TBD

8

Tyler Guyton

OT | OKLAHOMA | 6'7 | 327

i-4.png

Guyton is an extremely intriguing prospect with a high upside. He is very agile and athletic in space. A coordinated mover with a fluid build. What really stands out on tape is Guyton’s motor. He’s a high-effort competitor on every play and shows his passion throughout. Guyton has shown a ton of flashes in the pass game, but needs a lot of technical refinement to become a consistent and reliable guy. He has the tools to succeed in the run game, but must better understand the art of angles. Guyton is a high-upside pick with work to do at the next level. Considering his effort and flashes, it could be a good long-term bet for a team with a track record of developing talent.

Grade: Round 2

Lane Johnson

9

Matt Goncalves

OT | PITTSBURGH | 6'6 | 330

i-6.png

Goncalves is a thickly built and traditional tackle with a lot of likeable traits. He has a big frame and functional strength in both pass protection and the run game. Goncalves is a technically sound player who understands spacing and shows great awareness on the field. He has an aggressive demeanour and shows quick footwork for his size. With a bigger frame, Goncalves isn’t the most athletic, and may struggle against quicker defenders at the next level. Nonetheless, this is a pro-style tackle with good fundamentals and a sneaky bright future in the NFL.

Grade: Round 3

Walker Little

10

Patrick Paul

OT | HOUSTON | 6'7 | 315

i-7.png

Paul is an explosive and athletic tackle. He moves extremely well in space and is long and smooth. Paul’s burst off the snap is impressive, and he’s able to engage the defender before they get a chance to capitalize. He will be best utilized in a unique scheme that gets blockers downfield and guys in open space. Paul is prone to oversetting and drifting off blocks, and he’ll need to clean this up at the next level. l also question his ability as a pile driver in the run game. However, if he goes to a good scheme fit and cleans a few things up, he can become a quality starter in the NFL.

Grade: Round 3

Braxton Jones

11

Christian Jones

OT | TEXAS | 6'6 | 321

i-8.png

Jones is a thickly built and experienced tackle with a great foundation. He has a plus frame which provides him functional strength in the run game and a solid anchor in pass protection. Jones can use his length and hand placement to effectively engage and sustain blocks. He’s a smart player who can diagnose plays and make adjustments on the fly. Jones’s effort is evident on tape—always making the extra effort. He’s not the most agile or quick tackle, but his strength, IQ, and effort will make him a sleeper pick in the upcoming draft.

Grade: Round 3

TBD

12

Roger Rosengarten

OT | WASHINGTON | 6'6 | 300

i-9.png

Rosengarten is a long and twitchy tackle best suited for an air raid attack. He fires out of his stance and is a very agile and quick player overall. Rosengarten can effortlessly climb to the second level and make plays in space. These tools are his biggest asset, but they can sometimes make him overaggressive and prone to throwaway reps. Additionally, Rosengarten will need to improve his anchor and functional strength before he competes in the NFL. He has the tools to emerge as an impact player in a pass-happy scheme.

Grade: Round 3

TBD

13

Kiran Amegadjie

OT | YALE | 6'5 | 318

1649012811821_edited.png

Amegadjie is a high-upside prospect with a ton of tools. He has effortless mobility and acceleration. He’s a twitchy player who can get to the second level and make some noise in open space. Amegadjie shows great power in the run game and has a very aggressive demeanour. Admittedly, however, he’s a raw technical player who needs a lot of refinement. His pass protection is very robotic (which works at Yale) but would be a problem in the NFL. He needs to develop a more nuanced repertoire and understanding. A season-ending quad injury in 2023 doesn’t bode well for his development, but if a team is waiting to wait, Amegadjie has all the tools to succeed.

Grade: Round 3

TBD

14

Blake Fisher

OT | NOTRE DAME | 6'6 | 310

i-10.png

Fisher is an agile and strong tackle. He excels in the run game, consistently taking the proper angles and utilizing his short area burst. Fisher has a nice combination of sturdy strength and quick mobility. He is a smart player who understands spacing and can anticipate defensive moves. Fisher needs work in pass protection, where he often loses balance and fails to sustain blocks. However, his developmental traits and ability in the run game will position him to become an NFL starter.

Grade: Round 4

TBD

15

Javon Foster

OT | MISSOURI | 6'5 | 319

i-11.png

Foster is an aggressive and high energy tackle with a ton of college experience. He is a physical player who brings his best on every snap and clearly puts in the effort. He’s constantly using his mobility to climb to the second level and make more plays. Foster needs a lot of work from a technical standpoint, and as a 6th year senior, this doesn’t bode well for his draft stock. Foster lacks the fluidity and nuance that you want to see out of a blindside protector. However, his motor, toughness, and willingness could make him a plug and play journeyman at the next level.

Grade: Round 4
