MOCK DRAFT / 7.0

April 6th, 2024

1

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Caleb Williams

At this point, we can pencil in Caleb Williams to Chicago. Although he is my QB2, the fit here is great, and he's set up to succeed early on.

QB | USC | 6'1 | 215

2

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Drake Maye

This pick is still an unknown, but I've been told that Adam Peters has a long tenured interest in Drake Maye and the reports for Jayden Daniels should be taken with a grain of salt. This pick will be up in the air until draft night, but I lean Maye right now. He's younger and a better player.

QB | UNC | 6'4 | 230

3

new-england-patriots-logo-transparent.png

Jayden Daniels

At this point, I could see the Patriots moving down if their preferred QB is off the board, but it's tough to say who that is. For now, they take Jayden Daniels - a player who will add much needed explosiveness to this offense.

QB | LSU | 6'4 | 210

4

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Marvin Harrison Jr.

I expect a potential trade up to either 3, 4, or 5. The most common spot for me has been 4, so let's change it up. The Cardinals-who traded down last year-decide to stay put and add Marvin Harrison Jr. to this depleted WR group. Great fit with Kyler Murray

WR | OHIO STATE | 6'4 | 205

Carolina Panthers

5

minnesota-vikings-logo-transparent.png

JJ McCarthy (TRADE)

After acquiring an additional first-rounder from Houston, the Vikings make their big move. Although I suspect Maye is their preference, they are unable to make it happen here. McCarthy has a ton of likeable traits and will be set up for success under HC Kevin O'Connell

QB | MICHIGAN | 6'3 | 202

6

new-york-giants-logo-transparent.png

Malik Nabers

The Giants haven't been able to find a true difference maker at the WR position. They've tried their luck with guys who possess specific traits, but need a do-it-all & high-floor player who can just make plays. Nabers is arguably my favourite player in the draft and will instantly uplift this lacklustre unit.

WR | LSU | 6'0 | 200

7

tennessee-titans-logo-transparent.png

Joe Alt

Although I'm not high on Levis, it was difficult to play behind that offensive line. By adding Alt to the group, you're getting an elite protector for a decade plus. The tandem of Alt & Skoronski instantly creates a young tandem in the trenches and provides a physical identity in Tennessee

OT | NOTRE DAME | 6'8 | 315

8

atlanta-falcons-logo-transparent.png

Dallas Turner

After addressing QB in Free Agency, the Faclons turn their attention to the next biggest need: a pass-rusher. Turner is an alien prospect with a ton of upside. He has the versatility, measurements, testing, and skill to become a lethal player for Atlanta.

EDGE | ALABAMA | 6'4 | 242

9

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Rome Odunze

I've battled back and forth here. Will Poles take the more fundamental route and go defense or offensive line, or continue his flashy hot streak and go pass-catcher? I could make arguments for both sides and will continue to do so. But the Bears won't be in a position to get this kind of talent and Keenan is old.

WR | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 215

10

New-York-Jets-Logo.png

Brock Bowers

With the additions of Morgan Moses, Tyron Smith, and Mike Williams, The Jets have now addressed their 2 biggest needs. Now they can go BPA, drafting the greatest TE prospect of all-time, Brock Bowers. Bowers is an elite playmaker who brings a unique skillset to an offense.

TE | GEORGIA | 6'4 | 240

11

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

JC Latham (TRADE)

Although I'd love to see a WR at 6, Jim Harbaugh knows the value of building a roster. This starts up front. It's no surprise they will prioritize the rushing attack. Latham is the perfect way to do this. Now, with a strong offensive line unit, the Chargers will effectively carry out their identity.

OT | ALABAMA | 6'6 | 360

12

denver-broncos-logo-transparent.png

Jared Verse

I'm sure Sean Payton would love to find his next QB, but in this draft scenario, it doesn't work out. Last year this team was comically easy to run the ball on. So, they bolster a lacklustre unit by selecting a strong, technical, athletic, and productive EDGE rusher who can become a cornerstone.

EDGE | FLORIDA ST. | 6'4 | 260

13

oakland-raiders-logo-wallpapers-wallpaper-cave-1.png

Terrion Arnold

Antonio Pierce will want to establish the Raider's defensive identity. Right now their CB group is depleted, to say the least. Arnold is a prototypical CB1 who has the length, technical cover skills, and IQ to revamp the Las Vegas secondary. An easy projection and home-run pick.

CB | ALABAMA | 6'0 | 196

14

new-orleans-saints-logo-transparent.png

Olu Fashanu

With Ryan Ramczyk getting older and less healthy, and Trevor Penning not showing up yet, the Saints look to upgrade their offensive line--a unit that has enabled their previous success over the years. With Fashanu on the board at 14, it's a no brainer.

OT | PENN STATE | 6'6 | 319

15

indianapolis-colts-logo-transparent.png

Quinyon Mitchell

Chris Ballard loves athleticism from a prospect standpoint. DB is one of their biggest needs. Quinyon Mitchell just tested off the charts in front of the home crowd in Indianapolis. This is a perfect fit. The Colts would be getting a long, physical, fast, and skilled corner who can quickly revamp this secondary.

CB | TOLEDO | 6'0 | 196

16

seattle-seahawks-logo-transparent.png

Byron Murphy II

Mike McDonald is coming from an organization that prioritized defenders up front. In order to succeed, his system will need to generate pressure from the first-level and effortlessly stop the run. Murphy tore it up at the combine and has the skillset and film to become a force in the league.

DL | TEXAS | 6'1 | 308

17

jacksonville-jaguars-logo-transparent.png

Brian Thomas Jr.

With Calvin Ridley potentially gone in free agency, the Jaguars finally find a true #1 for Trevor Lawrence to grow with. This is a match made in heaven. Thomas is a long, physical, and explosive pass-catcher with the upside to take over games.

WR | LSU | 6'4 | 205

18

1024px-Cincinnati_Bengals_logo.svg.png

Taliese Fuaga

The Bengals finally do it. No veteran free-agents, no bargain contracts, just a young and talented offensive tackle who can truly keep Joe Burrow healthy. In year 1, he can compete for the job and play guard if need be. Despite the signing of Trent Brown, this is a long-term move.

OT | OREGON ST. | 6'6 | 334

19

608968b9d598a5000448eaa2.png

Laiatu Latu

The Rams could go many directions here, but I think with a need for a pure pass-rusher, McVay will appreciate the craft that Latu brings. He's a talented defender who can become a true force for the Rams.

EDGE | UCLA | 6'5 | 265

20

768px-Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg.png

Troy Fautanu

The Steelers finally invested in their O-line last year with the selection of Broderick Jones. They go down the same avenue once again, turning their weakness into a strength. Fautanu is a nasty and versatile lineman who can play multiple spots for this unit.

OL | WASHINGTON | 6'4 | 317

21

miami-dolphins-logo-transparent.png

Graham Barton

If Mike McDaniel wants to continue dominating in this unique scheme, he'll need to upgrade the offensive line unit. Barton is a versatile lineman who has the athleticism and versatility to succeed in this unique scheme.

OL | DUKE | 6'5 | 314|

22

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Nate Wiggins

The Eagles secondary is no longer a strength. They need young talent. Specifically more speed and athleticism. Wiggins fits in perfectly here. He is a long, quick, and talented CB who can become a playmaker in this well-built system.

CB | CLEMSON | 6'2 | 185

23

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

Xavier Worthy (TRADE)

Greg Roman's system will be about running the ball and capitalizing on shots. He was with the Ravens when they had Hollywood Brown. Worthy will fill that role and provide a much needed spark to this WR core.

WR | TEXAS | 6'1 | 172

24

dallas-cowboys-logo-transparent.png

Jackson Powers-Johnson

With Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz out the door, the Cowboys stay true to their roots. They could easily go tackle here, but I absolutely love this fit, and there has been reported interest throughout the process.

OC | OREGON | 6'3 | 320

25

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Cooper DeJean

The Packers don't have too many holes, and historically have prioritized the secondary. DeJean is a versatile corner with flexibility to play anywehre on the field.

CB | IOWA | 6'1 | 207

26

tampa-bay-buccaneers-logo-transparent.png

Chop Robinson

The Buccaneers always find a way to draft defensive lineman early. Robinson is an explosive and high upside pick. He will bring a fun element for Todd Bowles to work with.

EDGE | PENN STATE | 6'3 | 250

27

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Jer'Zhan Newton

After taking Marvin Harrison at 4, Jonathan Gannon finally gets his pick at a defensive player. Newton is a toolsy d-lineman who can put up numbers in the sack collumn. This team lacks playmakers up-front, and Newton will change that.

DL | ILLINOIS | 6'2 | 295

28

buffalo-bills-logo-transparent.png

Adonai Mitchell

With Gabe Davis gone, and Diggs' production declining, the Bills need to add another weapon on the outside. Mitchell has the game-breaking speed, size, twitch, and tools to become Josh Allen's next target. This well help keep them in the AFC race.

WR | TEXAS | 6'4 | 196

29

detroit-lions-logo-transparent.png

Kool-Aid McKinstry

The Lions will likely look to their defense at pick here. In this scenario, they steal one of the best defenders in the draft. He hasn't got much buzz during the pre-draft proccess, but McKinstry is a physical and battle tested defender who can become a legit CB1 in the NFL.

CB | ALABAMA | 6'1 | 195

30

baltimore-ravens-logo-transparent.png

Amarius Mims

For the Ravens to continue their success upfront, they will need to stay dominant on the offensive line. Mims is an enormous, powerful, and athletic prospect who has the perfect makeup for this system.

OT | GEORGIA | 6'6 | 340

31

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b55.png

Jordan Morgan

The 49ers biggest issue in the Super Bowl was their offensive line. Morgan is a versatile, athletic, and skilled prospect who can play multiple spots next year.

OT | ARIZONA | 6'4 | 325

32

kansas-city-chiefs-logo-transparent.png

Ladd McConkey

Although they got the job done, the Chiefs were clearly lacking a go-to WR1. They added Hollywood, but now Rashee Rice's status is in doubt. McConkey is arguably the best route-runner in the class and would simply be unfair with Mahomes.

WR | GEORGIA | 6'0 | 185

33

carolina-panthers-logo-transparent.png

Troy Franklin

Bryce Young had nothing to work with last year. They added Diontae Johnson, which is a great start, but now they look to add another complimentary piece. Franklin is a linear threat who will be a nice compliment to this group.

WR | OREGON | 6'3 | 187

34

new-england-patriots-logo-transparent.png

Xavier Legette

After striking out with Calvin Ridley, the Patriots desperately need a talented WR. Legette is an ulta-talented athlete who fits the mold of what Elliot Wolf will likely look for.

WR | SOUTH CAR. | 6'1 | 223

35

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Zach Frazier

Having already addressed WR and DL, the Cardinals target the biggest need - OC. Frazier is a plug and play centre who can immediately uplift this unit.

OC | WEST VIRGINIA | 6'3 | 310

36

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Kingsley Suamataia

Now that the Commanders added their franchise QB at 2, they need to protect him. They made some veteran additions on the O-line, but it's important they find a long-term solution at OT. Suamataia is a fundamental and athletic protector who can be a force for this team.

OT | BYU | 6'6 | 325

37

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

Kamari Lassiter

The Chargers secondary is a clear weak spot on this roster. JC Jackson did not work out for them, and they need to add some more talent. Lassiter is one the more underrated players in the draft. A talented and tough man corner.

CB | GEORGIA | 6'1 | 180

38

tennessee-titans-logo-transparent.png

Darius Robinson

The Titans roster is sneaky complete right now. There aren't too many holes (aside from OT which was addressed in R1). It's always a good idea adding to the trenches, and Robinson is a versatile and unique player who can become a force.

EDGE | MISSOURI | 6'5 | 296

39

carolina-panthers-logo-transparent.png

Payton Wilson

After acquiring this pick through the Brian Burns trade, the Panthers find their next Luke Kuechly. Another Carolina college athlete - Wilson is an explosive, smart, and fundamental leader. If he can stay healthy, this will be a home run pick.

LB | NC STATE | 6'4 | 238

40

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Braden Fiske

After trading away Chase Young and Montez Sweat this past offseason, the Commanders will look for help on the d-line. With most top EDGE's off the board, they turn to Braden Fiske, a highly athletic, technical, and exciting DL.

DL | FLORIDA ST. | 6'5 | 297

41

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Tyler Guyton

The Packers don't have many holes and can definitely upgrade the OT position. They have veteran players who can let Guyton ease his way in. He is a quick and athletic lineman with the upside to become a key contributor.

OT | OKLAHOMA | 6'7 | 327

42

houston-texans-logo-transparent.png

Ennis Rakestraw Jr.

The Texans did a great job filling their holes this offseason. Now, they look to add some depth to the secondary. Rakestraw's film is amazing, and his stock is being overshadowed by his pre-draft process. He's a smart, technical, and willing tackler who can become a dependent guy.

CB | MISSOURI | 6'0 | 188

1

Position Rank: 1

Bryce Young

QB | ALABAMA

43

atlanta-falcons-logo-transparent.png

T.J. Tampa

I think this might be a little too high (value-wise). But, after EDGE, CB is the clearly biggest need for this team. Most of their corners are a bit thinner, and Tampa would bring a much needed size/toughness to this group.

CB | IOWA ST. | 6'2 | 200

44

oakland-raiders-logo-wallpapers-wallpaper-cave-1.png

Michael Penix Jr.

New HC Antonio Pierce will be looking for his next signal caller. Despite some injury and age concerns, Penix Jr. brings the toughness, leadership, and mechanics that teams will love. He can become a fan favourite in Las Vegas.

QB | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 213

45

new-orleans-saints-logo-transparent.png

Malachi Corley

Outside of Olave, the Saints need to add more pass-catching weapons. New OC Klint Kubiak is coming from a 49ers system that witnessed the success of Deebo Samuel. Corley could fill this role and compliment a much different player in Olave

WR | WESTERN KEN. | 5'11 | 210

46

indianapolis-colts-logo-transparent.png

Keon Coleman

With some production and speed concerns, Coleman slips all the way to 46, right into Indianapolis' lap. He is the perfect fit in this offense and someone who can really maximize Anthony Richardson's arm.

WR | FLORIDA ST. | 6'4 | 214

47

new-york-giants-logo-transparent.png

Tyler Nubin

With the departure of Xavier McKinney, the Giants will look to add some talent to the back-end. Nubin is a physical and instinctive safety who can become a big-time playmaker behind this talented Giants D-line.

SAF | MINNESOTA | 6'2 | 210

48

jacksonville-jaguars-logo-transparent.png

Marshawn Kneeland

The Jaguars could go many ways here. It seems like they always refeul on the d-line. Kneeland is a storng and physical specimen who can learn behind Armstead.

EDGE | W. MICH. | 6'3 | 275

49

1024px-Cincinnati_Bengals_logo.svg.png

Kris Jenkins

With the departure of DJ Reader, the Bengals will need a big replacement in the middle. Jenkins is an impressive player who will bring size, skill, production, and big game experience to a team ready to compete.

DL | MICHIGAN | 6'4 | 362

50

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Edgerrin Cooper

The Eagles defense is getting older, and their is a specific need at the LB position. Cooper has the athleticism and raw upside to really become a difference maker in the right system. Philadelphia is a great landing spot.

LB | TEXAS A&M | 6'3 | 230

51

768px-Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg.png

Mike Sainstrill

Despite the success of Joey Porter Jr. in 2023, the Steelers are still thin at CB. Porter is a much bigger and physical player, so Sainstrill--the smaller, quicker, and more agile player--will be a perfect compliment.

CB | MICHIGAN | 5'10 | 182

52

608968b9d598a5000448eaa2.png

Max Melton

The Rams need to add talent to their secondary. Melton is a scrappy, versatile, and competitive player who can be used in many ways.

CB | RUTGERS | 5'11 | 193

53

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Roman Wilson

With limited holes on their roster, the Eagles look to add a legitimate WR3. Wilson is a great compliment to Devonta & AJ, and his physical demeanour and willingness to block will fit perfectly.

WR | MICHIGAN | 6'0 | 192

54

cleveland-browns-logo-transparent.png

Ruke Orhorhoro

The Browns look to continue improving their defensive line. I've mocked Sweat here many times, but I also think Ruke Orhorhoro is a name to watch. He's a high upside and athletic lineman who could easily emerge from this veteran group.

DL | CLEMSON | 6'4 | 290

55

miami-dolphins-logo-transparent.png

Ja'Tavion Sanders

As the Dolphins look to get over the hump, they add another offensive weapon. Sanders athleticism and natural pass-catching ability will be a great fit in this offense.

TE | TEXAS | 6'4 | 243

56

dallas-cowboys-logo-transparent.png

Junior Colson

You heard Micah Parsons - the Cowboys need to add a thumping linebacker who can contribute in the trenches. Colson has the size and skillset to be just that. He's that type of player who can really make a consistent impact and become a tackle machine.

LB | MICHIGAN | 6'3 | 247

57

tampa-bay-buccaneers-logo-transparent.png

Christian Haynes

The interior depth-chart in Tampa Bay is depleted. They need to find a plug-and-play guard who can afford Baker Mayfield time to throw. Haynes is a thick and fundamental player who can become a rock on the interior.

OC | WEST VIRGINIA | 6'3 | 310

58

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Kamren Kinchens

The Packers probably won't go with DeJean AND Kinchens, but I really like this fit. Kinchens is a well-rounded defender who can really be a defensive anchor. His ability as a centre fielder can pay dividends in an up and coming NFC North.

SAF | MIAMI | 6'0 | 205

59

houston-texans-logo-transparent.png

T'Vondre Sweat

This up and coming defense looks to get even scarier. With a need on the interior, Sweat can be a natural space-eater who helps this team defend the run on early downs.

DL | TEXAS | 6'4 | 362

60

buffalo-bills-logo-transparent.png

Cole Bishop

With both Micah Hyde & Jordan Poyer gone, the Bills will need to add some more talent to the safety position. Bishop is one of my favourite players in the draft, and is supposedly a near lock to go in the first two rounds.

SAF | UTAH | 6'2 | 207

61

detroit-lions-logo-transparent.png

Ricky Pearsall

With limited holes on the roster, the Lions have the luxury to add another weapon. Pearsall is a tough and athletic WR who can make big grabs in traffic. This bodes well for Ben Johnson's offense which loves to take shots in the middle

WR | FLORIDA | 6'1 | 190

62

baltimore-ravens-logo-transparent.png

Jalen McMillan

After Zay Flowers, the Ravens are thin at WR. McMillan is one of my favourite players in the draft and he would be a great compliment in this offense. He's a tough, technical, and explosive player who can win in many ways.

WR | WASHINGTON | 6'1 | 192

63

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b55.png

Bralen Trice

With Erik Armstead gone, the 49ers look to retool their defensive line again. Trice is a strong and pro-ready player who can step in right away and make an impact.

EDGE | WASHINGTON | 6'4 | 274

64

kansas-city-chiefs-logo-transparent.png

Patrick Paul

Beyond WR, the Chiefs have a need at OT and will do whatever it takes to protect Mahomes. Paul is an athletic pass-protector with the upside to become a good starter in the NFL.

OT | HOUSTON | 6'7 | 315
