MOCK DRAFT / 5.0

March 17th, 2024

1

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Caleb Williams

The move away from Justin Fields, no matter which QB you are drafting, is obvious. Reset the clock and allow the better player to turn your franchise around. Williams is a no-brainer in this offense and will instantly make Chicago relevant.

QB | USC | 6'1 | 215

2

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Jayden Daniels

With a new regime in place, the Commanders quickly find their franchise QB. To me, its 50/50 between Daniels & Maye here. Nobody will truly know until closer to the draft. For right now, I'll keep switching back and forth. Daniels will provide excitment to this up and coming franchise

QB | LSU | 6'4 | 210

3

new-england-patriots-logo-transparent.png

Drake Maye

The Patriots have been desperately lacking blue-chip talent and athleticism for years. Maye will quickly change that narrative--providing a high-upside spark plug at the most important position in football. They'll need to spend some capital to construct the roster, but they won't pass up on a QB. Trust me.

QB | UNC | 6'4 | 230

4

minnesota-vikings-logo-transparent.png

JJ McCarthy (TRADE)

After acquiring an additional first-rounder from Houston, the Vikings make their big move. Although many would like Maye here, they won't be able to crack the top 3. McCarthy has a ton of likeable traits and will be set up for success under HC Kevin O'Connell

QB | MICHIGAN | 6'3 | 202

Carolina Panthers

5

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

Marvin Harrison Jr.

After moving on from both Mike Williams & Keenan Allen, there is a desperate need here. Although it's still possible they go OT, I expect it to be WR. Marvin Harrison Jr. falls to 5 with the early push for QB's, setting up Justin Herbert with an ELITE weapon for the next decade

WR | OHIO STATE | 6'4 | 205

6

new-york-giants-logo-transparent.png

Malik Nabers

The Giants haven't been able to find a true difference maker at the WR position. They've tried their luck with guys who possess specific traits, but need a do-it-all & high-floor player who can just make plays. Nabers is arguably my favourite player in the draft and will instantly uplift this lacklustre unit.

WR | LSU | 6'0 | 200

7

tennessee-titans-logo-transparent.png

Joe Alt

Although I'm not high on Levis, it was difficult to play behind that offensive line. By adding Alt to the group, you're getting an elite protector for a decade plus. The tandem of Alt & Skoronski instantly creates a young tandem in the trenches and provides a physical identity in Tennessee

OT | NOTRE DAME | 6'8 | 315

8

atlanta-falcons-logo-transparent.png

Dallas Turner

After addressing QB in Free Agency, the Faclons turn their attention to the next biggest need: a pass-rusher. Turner is an alien prospect with a ton of upside. He has the versatility, measurements, testing, and skill to become a lethal player for Atlanta.

EDGE | ALABAMA | 6'4 | 242

9

Chicago_Bears_logo.svg.png

Jared Verse

After trading for Keenan Allen in Free Agency, I believe Ryan Poles will come back down to earth and address the trenches. Defense matters too. Verse is a strong and suprisingly quick player who can pair up nicely with Montez Sweat and create an elite young duo

EDGE | FLORIDA ST. | 6'4 | 260

10

New-York-Jets-Logo.png

Rome Odunze

After addressing OT through the additions of Tyron Smith & Morgan Moses, the Jets now have flexibility to add a better player. Odunze is the perfect compliment to Garrett Wilson and will provide another star element to this already talented offensive roster.

WR | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 215

11

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Brian Thomas Jr. (TRADE)

The Cardinals strike a massive deal and acquire a ton of assets to build their team. Although they missed out on Marvin Harrison Jr., they get an awesome consolation prize in Brian Thomas Jr.. He is a long, athletic, strong, and explosive WR capable of taking over games.

WR | LSU | 6'4 | 205

12

denver-broncos-logo-transparent.png

Brock Bowers

It's going to be tough to acquire their starting QB in this draft environment. With not much attractiveness on this roster, they opt for the best player available. Payton can craft this offense around Bowers and build a really nice identity in Denver.

TE | GEORGIA | 6'4 | 240

13

oakland-raiders-logo-wallpapers-wallpaper-cave-1.png

Terrion Arnold

Antonio Pierce will want to establish the Raider's defensive identity. Right now their CB group is depleted, to say the least. Arnold is a prototypical CB1 who has the length, technical cover skills, and IQ to revamp the Las Vegas secondary. An easy projection and home-run pick.

CB | ALABAMA | 6'0 | 196

14

new-orleans-saints-logo-transparent.png

Olu Fashanu

With Ryan Ramczyk getting older and less healthy, and Trevor Penning not showing up yet, the Saints look to upgrade their offensive line--a unit that has enabled their previous success over the years. With Fashanu on the board at 14, it's a no brainer.

OT | PENN STATE | 6'6 | 319

15

indianapolis-colts-logo-transparent.png

Quinyon Mitchell

Chris Ballard loves athleticism from a prospect standpoint. DB is one of their biggest needs. Quinyon Mitchell just tested off the charts in front of the home crowd in Indianapolis. This is a perfect fit. The Colts would be getting a long, physical, fast, and skilled corner who can quickly revamp this secondary.

CB | TOLEDO | 6'0 | 196

16

seattle-seahawks-logo-transparent.png

Troy Fautanu

Fautanu has been a big riser in the draft process. His effort, versatility, and toughness will make him a hot name early in the draft. The Seahawks have a need all over the interior, and Fautanu can play guard early and move back to tackle if need be.

OL | WASHINGTON | 6'4 | 317

17

jacksonville-jaguars-logo-transparent.png

Nate Wiggins

I still expect the Jaguars to address WR (see round 2), but for now, they need to help out the CB position. Wiggins is a long and fast defender who can make a ton of plays. He add an extra element to this Jacksonville defense.

CB | CLEMSON | 6'2 | 185

18

1024px-Cincinnati_Bengals_logo.svg.png

Taliese Fuaga

The Bengals finally do it. No veteran free-agents, no bargain contracts, just a young and talented offensive tackle who can truly keep Joe Burrow healthy. Fuaga has the build and skills to become a lockdown tackle at the next level.

OT | OREGON ST. | 6'6 | 334

19

608968b9d598a5000448eaa2.png

Cooper DeJean

The Rams secondary, once a strong suit for this team, is now a major weakness. DeJean provides talent, versatility, and IQ. He is a well-rounded and unique piece that can instantly transform this group. The Rams always draft well.

CB | IOWA | 6'1 | 207

20

768px-Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg.png

JC Latham

The Steelers finally invested in their O-line last year with the selection of Broderick Jones. They go down the same avenue once again, turning their weakness into a strength. Latham is an enormous tackle with the ability to pile drive in the run game. He will bring the toughness coach Tomlin loves.

OT | ALABAMA | 6'6 | 360

21

miami-dolphins-logo-transparent.png

Graham Barton

If Mike McDaniel wants to continue dominating in this unique scheme, he'll need to upgrade the offensive line unit. Barton is an extremely versatile, talented, smart, and tough lineman who can play any spot you need him to.

OL | DUKE | 6'5 | 314

22

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Kool-Aid McKinstry

The Eagles secondary is no longer a strength. They need young talent. Specifically more speed and athleticism. Wiggins fits in perfectly here. He is a long, quick, and talented CB who can become a playmaker in this well-built system.

CB | CLEMSON | 6'2 | 185

23

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Byron Murphy II

After going WR at 11, the Cardinals opt to improve their lacklustre DL. Jonathan Gannon finally gets a young stud on the interior to shape his defense around. Murphy is an explosive rusher with a ton of potnetial.

DL | TEXAS | 6'1 | 308

24

dallas-cowboys-logo-transparent.png

Jackson Powers-Johnson

With Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz out the door, the Cowboys stay true to their roots. They could easily go tackle here, but Jackson Powers-Johnson screams Cowboys. He is an extremely reliable and talented player who can anchor this unit for years.

OC | OREGON | 6'3 | 320

25

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Jer'Zhan Newton

The Packers don't have too many holes, and historically have prioritized the D-line. Newton is good value here and will provide a coveted pass-rush ability from the interior.

DL | ILLINOIS | 6'2 | 295

26

tampa-bay-buccaneers-logo-transparent.png

Ennis Rakestraw Jr.

With Carlton Davis gone, the Buccaneers will look to find their next CB1. Rakestraw hasn't been a hot name in the draft process, but his film is great. He's a tough, technical, and instinctive corner who can really be a rock on defense.

CB | MISSOURI | 6'0 | 188

27

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Laiatu Latu

With potential medical concerns on the table, the Cardinals add arguably the best defensive player in the draft. With Byron Murphy II at 23 and Latu at 27, Arizona instantly transforms one of the weaker units into one of the stronger ones.

EDGE | UCLA | 6'5 | 265

28

buffalo-bills-logo-transparent.png

Adonai Mitchell

With Gabe Davis gone, and Diggs' production declining, the Bills need to add another weapon on the outside. Mitchell has the game-breaking speed, size, twitch, and tools to become Josh Allen's next target. This well help keep them in the AFC race.

WR | TEXAS | 6'4 | 196

29

detroit-lions-logo-transparent.png

Darius Robinson

The Lions have pretty much filled their holes this offseason (aside from OG - see round 2). This is a fit I've absolutely loved for a while. He has ties to the current coaching staff and brings the versatility, selfishness, and toughness that coach Campbell covets.

EDGE | MISSOURI | 6'5 | 296

30

baltimore-ravens-logo-transparent.png

Xavier Worthy

Personally, I would target a bigger WR if I were the Ravens. However, it seems like they always go for the gadget/speed players no matter what. Worthy would be dangerous in this offensive structure, hopefully providing the needed spark for Baltimore to take the next step.

WR | TEXAS | 6'1 | 172

31

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b55.png

Jordan Morgan

The 49ers biggest issue in the Super Bowl was their offensive line. Morgan can play tackle or possibly slide to the interior. Although he lacks true OT length, he possesses the quickness, athleticism, and agility to fit into San Francisco's unique scheme.

OT | ARIZONA | 6'4 | 325

32

kansas-city-chiefs-logo-transparent.png

Amarius Mims

Although many have penciled in a WR here, OT seems like the bigger need. They added Hollywood Brown in Free Agency, and this WR class is very deep. Mims is a high-upside prospect who will be able to protect Mahomes for years to come.

OT | GEORGIA | 6'6 | 340

33

carolina-panthers-logo-transparent.png

Xavier Legette

Bryce Young had nothing to work with last year. They added Diontae Johnson, which is a great start, but now they look to add another complimentary piece. Legette played in Carolina already and his size/explosiveness would perfectly compliment Johsnon

WR | SOUTH CAR. | 6'1 | 223

34

new-england-patriots-logo-transparent.png

Ladd McConkey

After striking out with Calvin Ridley, the Patriots desperately need a talented WR. McConkey has one of the highest floors in the draft, and his nuanced ability and toughness could make him a game changer at the next level.

WR | GEORGIA | 6'0 | 185

35

arizona-cardinals-logo-transparent.png

Zach Frazier

Having already loaded up the roster via draft trades, the Cardinals address the biggest need - OC. Frazier is a plug and play centre who can immediately uplift this unit.

OC | WEST VIRGINIA | 6'3 | 310

36

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Chop Robinson

After trading away Chase Young and Montez Sweat this past offseason, the Commanders will look for a new pass-rusher. Although Robinson lacks ideal length, his explosiveness and physical ability will position him to make a big impact in the NFL.

EDGE | PENN STATE | 6'3 | 250

37

2560px-Los_Angeles_Chargers_logo.svg.png

Kamari Lassiter

The Chargers secondary is a clear weak spot on this roster. JC Jackson did not work out for them, and they need to add some more talent. Lassiter is one the more underrated players in the draft. A talented and tough man corner.

CB | GEORGIA | 6'1 | 180

38

tennessee-titans-logo-transparent.png

Bralen Trice

The Titans roster is sneaky complete right now. There aren't too many holes (aside from OT which was addressed in R1). It's always a good idea adding to the trenches, and Trice is a big and physical player who can contribute right away.

EDGE | WASHINGTON | 6'4 | 274

39

carolina-panthers-logo-transparent.png

Payton Wilson (TRADE)

After acquiring this pick through the Brian Burns trade, the Panthers find their next Luke Kuechly. Another Carolina college athlete - Wilson is an explosive, smart, and fundamental leader. If he can stay healthy, this will be a home run pick.

LB | NC STATE | 6'4 | 238

40

Washington-Commanders-Logo.png

Kingsley Suamataia

Now that the Commanders added their franchise QB at 2, they need to protect him. They made some veteran additions on the O-line, but it's important they find a long-term solution at OT. Suamataia is a fundamental and athletic protector who can be a force for this team.

OT | BYU | 6'6 | 325

41

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Tyler Guyton

The Packers don't have many holes and can definitely upgrade the OT position. They have veteran players who can let Guyton develop. He has a ton of potential and mobility to fit right into Matt LaFleur's system.

OT | OKLAHOMA | 6'7 | 327

42

houston-texans-logo-transparent.png

Keon Coleman

Throughout the Free Agent period, it seemed like the Texans were interested in adding a big frame WR on the outside. Coleman is an athletic prospect who can aerially adjust and come down with circus grabs. This would be a great fit for both sides.

WR | FLORIDA ST. | 6'4 | 214

1

Position Rank: 1

Bryce Young

QB | ALABAMA

43

atlanta-falcons-logo-transparent.png

T.J. Tampa

I think this might be a little too high (value-wise). But, after EDGE, CB is the clearly biggest need for this team. Most of their corners are a bit thinner, and Tampa would bring a much needed size/toughness to this group.

CB | IOWA ST. | 6'2 | 200

44

oakland-raiders-logo-wallpapers-wallpaper-cave-1.png

Michael Penix Jr.

New HC Antonio Pierce will be looking for his next signal caller. Despite some injury and age concerns, Penix Jr. brings the toughness, leadership, and mechanics that teams will love. He can become a fan favourite in Las Vegas.

QB | WASHINGTON | 6'3 | 213

45

new-orleans-saints-logo-transparent.png

Malachi Corley

Outside of Olave, the Saints need to add more pass-catching weapons. New OC Klint Kubiak is coming from a 49ers system that witnessed the success of Deebo Samuel. Corley could fill this role and compliment a much different player in Olave

WR | WESTERN KEN. | 5'11 | 210

46

indianapolis-colts-logo-transparent.png

Troy Franklin

The Colts will look to maximize Anthony Richardson's rookie contract. Franklin likely won't be here at 46, but in this scenario, Indianapolis adds a big play vertical threat who can add another dimension to this offense.

WR | OREGON | 6'3 | 187

47

new-york-giants-logo-transparent.png

Tyler Nubin

With the departure of Xavier McKinney, the Giants will look to add some talent to the back-end. Nubin is a physical and instinctive safety who can become a big-time playmaker behind this talented Giants D-line.

SAF | MINNESOTA | 6'2 | 210

48

jacksonville-jaguars-logo-transparent.png

Ricky Pearsall

With the departure of Calvin Ridley, the Jaguars will need to add another WR. Although they spent decent money on Gabe Davis, their core is worse than last year. Pearsall is a ball-magnet who can come down with catches in traffic.

WR | FLORIDA | 6'1 | 190

49

1024px-Cincinnati_Bengals_logo.svg.png

Kris Jenkins

With the departure of DJ Reader, the Bengals will need a big replacement in the middle. Jenkins is an impressive player who will bring size, skill, production, and big game experience to a team ready to compete.

DL | MICHIGAN | 6'4 | 362

50

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Edgerrin Cooper

The Eagles defense is getting older, and their is a specific need at the LB position. Cooper has the athleticism and raw upside to really become a difference maker in the right system. Philadelphia is a great landing spot.

LB | TEXAS A&M | 6'3 | 230

51

768px-Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg.png

Roman Wilson

With Diontae Johnson out of Pittsburgh, the Steelers will try to find George Pickens a running mate. Roman Wilson is a tough, versatile, and competitive player who loves to do the dirty work. He'll fit right into this culture and make Mike Tomlin proud.

WR | MICHIGAN | 6'0 | 192

52

608968b9d598a5000448eaa2.png

Braden Fiske

With the great Aaron Donald retired, the Rams will need to find an interior replacement. Fiske is not just a combine warrior. His tape backs it up. He's explosive, technical, relentless, and smart. Just the type of player Sean McVay is looking for.

DL | FLORIDA ST. | 6'5 | 297

53

philadelphia-eagles-logo-transparent.png

Ja'Tavion Sanders

I know the Eagles have Dallas Goedert, but he's 29 and can co-exist with Sanders. The Eagles have urgency to keep weaponizing and get over the hump. With defensive needs addressed at 22 & 50, Philadelphia adds a talented pass-catcher who can add another dimension to this offense.

TE | TEXAS | 6'4 | 243

54

cleveland-browns-logo-transparent.png

T'Vondre Sweat

The Browns look to continue improving their defensive line. Specifically, they find a true space-eater who can change the way they defend the run. This is the perfect situation for Sweat, as he'll join a deep group of veterans.

DL | TEXAS | 6'4 | 362

55

miami-dolphins-logo-transparent.png

Chris Braswell

With Jaelan Phillips' health in question, and a few key pieces now gone, the Dolphins need to add some EDGE/LB talent. Braswell is a long and athletic defender who has a ton of upside in the right system.

EDGE | ALABAMA | 6'3 | 255

56

dallas-cowboys-logo-transparent.png

Junior Colson

You heard Micah Parsons - the Cowboys need to add a thumping linebacker who can contribute in the trenches. Colson has the size and skillset to be just that. He's that type of player who can really make a consistent impact and become a tackle machine.

LB | MICHIGAN | 6'3 | 247

57

tampa-bay-buccaneers-logo-transparent.png

Christian Haynes

The interior depth-chart in Tampa Bay is depleted. They need to find a plug-and-play guard who can afford Baker Mayfield time to throw. Haynes is a thick and fundamental player who can become a rock on the interior.

OG | UCONN | 6'3 | 313

58

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b25.png

Mike Sainstrill

The Packers don't have many needs and continue to address them in this mock. Now, with the long-term uncertainty of Jaire Alexander, they look to bolster the secondary. Sainstrill is a versatile and competitive player who can make a ton of plays.

CB | MICHIGAN | 5'10 | 182

59

houston-texans-logo-transparent.png

Jeremiah Trotter Jr.

With Blake Cashman in Minnesota, the Texans quickly find his replacement. Trotter Jr. hasn't been getting nearly enough buzz in the pre-draft process. He is a fundamental, skilled, and smart player who can contribute right away.

LB | CLEMSON | 6'0 | 230

60

buffalo-bills-logo-transparent.png

Kamren Kinchens

With both Micah Hyde & Jordan Poyer gone, the Bills will need to add some more talent to the safety position. It seems like Kinchen's is falling down draft boards after an underwhelming combine. However, his film is great. He's a do it all player who has a knack for making plays.

SAF | MIAMI | 6'0 | 205

61

detroit-lions-logo-transparent.png

Cooper Beebe

With some older peices on the interior offensive line and a clear hole at one of the guard spots, Beebe is the exact player Dan Campbell would love. He's an extremely tough, strong, and reliable player who can just get it done in the trenches.

OG | KANSAS ST. | 6'4 | 355

62

baltimore-ravens-logo-transparent.png

Max Melton

After opting for a WR in R1, Baltimore addresses their next biggest need. Melton is a versatile and competitive CB who had a great combine. He will fit perfectly into this already dominant defense.

CB | RUTGERS | 5'11 | 193

63

580b585b2edbce24c47b2b55.png

Kris Abrams-Draine

After addressing offensive line, the 49ers look to their second biggest weakness, the CB position. Abrams-Draine is another versatile CB who can be used in many spots.

CB | MISSOURI | 5'11 | 173

64

kansas-city-chiefs-logo-transparent.png

Brenden Rice

After going with an OT in R1. The Chiefs finally address WR. Rice is a long, physical, and explosive pass-catcher. Brenden Rice will compliment Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown very nicely. That's a lot of Rice in KC.

WR | USC | 6'3 | 210
