1

Trey McBride

TE / COLORADO ST. / 6'4 / 249

Trey-McBride-TE-ColoradoState.png

McBride has a great combination of abilities. He has solid speed, can cause a lot of damage catching the ball, and is an awesome blocker. McBride needs to improve his route running as he tends to round out his cuts. He needs to develop more balance and stability when running. Not overly dominant with the ball in his hands. McBride does not have any major concerns and should become a productive tight end early on.

Grade: Round 2

Hunter Henry

2

Jeremy Ruckert

TE / OHIO STATE / 6'5 / 250

Jeremy-Ruckert-TE-OhioState.png

Ruckert is an extremely reliable and versatile player. He can be used in many situations and is very smart and aware. He is not overly explosive or athletic but does exactly what you want him to do. Limited route-tree and production at Ohio State but the film is all very good. Should be a productive target with a high floor at the next level.

Grade: Round 3

Pat Freiermuth

3

Greg Dulcich

TE UCLA / 6'4 / 245

a1616bbe-a8d4-4340-b188-5773f72a7e2c.webp

Dulcich has a strong body and is able to operate with pressure. He has strong hands and moves well while breaking in and out of his routes. Good control and coordination of his body. Hasn’t shown much after the catch. Has limited upside as a blocker due to his shorter frame. Does a lot of damage as a pass catcher in the middle of the field. Good stop and start speed.

Grade: Round 3

Jared Cook

4

Chigoziem Okonkwo

TE / MARYLAND / 6'2 / 242

i (1) copy.png

Wydermyer is an athletic and physical tight end who was a wide receiver in high school. He can be used downfield and out wide. A productive blocker who can win at the line of scrimmage but doesn’t have good technique or experience with it. Physically imposing with a great frame. Solid route runner but lacks explosiveness and ideal speed. Should be a very productive piece of the puzzle in a good offence.

Grade: Round 3

Jonnu Smith

5

Jalen Wydermyer

TE / TEXAS A&M / 6'5 / 255

i (1) copy 2.png

Okonkwo is a very aggressive and strong route runner who attacks the ball. He has a very quick release and looks more like a receiver when in the open field. Strong hands and good ability to make catches under pressure. A bit undersized for the position and lacks the strength needed to be a great blocker. Okonkwo can be used as a very versatile weapon in the NFL.

Grade: Round 3

Mark Andrews

6

Jake Ferguson

TE / WISCONSIN / 6'5 / 255

jake-ferguson.png

Ferguson has very soft and reliable hands. He is a smart and effective blocker who knows his role and is willing to contribute in the trenches. He is a very coordinated and solid route runner. Not an elite athlete but has a good release and moves well in space. Good body control and can haul in off-target throws. Deals well with pressure and fights through contact.

Grade: Round 4

Dalton Schultz

7

Isaiah Likely

TE / COASTAL CAROLINA / 6'4 / 241

i-1 copy.png

Likely has a quick release and possesses reliable and strong hands. He is a solid route runner and a good blocker. Likely is a bit undersized for the position and does not possess the elite speed that you would want for someone a bit smaller. Likely’s strong hands and competitive nature will allow him to be a productive option in an NFL offence at the next level.

Grade: Round 4

Dawson Knox

8

Cade Otton

TE / WASHINGTON / 6'5 / 250

i-2 copy.png

Otton has a very good size. He is a great blocker who can hold up against legitimate edge defenders. Not a huge factor in the passing game but is a reliable target who can make damage when needed. Otton has great awareness and feel for the game. It is hard to rank him among tight ends as his stock will be dependent on what the needs are of a specific team.

Grade: Round 4

Jack Doyle

9

Jelani Woods

TE / VIRGINIA / 6'7 / 259

i (1).png

Woods has an enormous frame at 6’7. He is a physically imposing matchup nightmare who has a good ability to high point the ball and make contested catches. He shields the defence away from the body and makes it easy for his quarterback to get him the ball. Lacks agility and quickness off his release. Limited route tree but can beat you with size. Good strength and willingness to block.

Grade: Round 4

Jimmy Graham

10

Cole Turner

TE / NEVADA / 6'6 / 246

i-2.png

Turner is a very long pass-catcher with a huge catch radius. He is a nightmare against smaller defenders and is a huge threat in the red zone. Good blocker in pass protection but needs improvement in the run game due to his thin frame and high center of gravity. Limited route tree and slow release. Struggles against physicality. I see Turner as a matchup nightmare in the red zone but may struggle to solidify himself as a three-down player.

Grade: Round 5

Tyler Higbee

11

Derrick Deese Jr.

TE / SAN JOSE ST. / 6'4 / 236

i-1.png

Deese is an athletic and quick tight end who runs his routes with aggression and purpose. He has strong and reliable hands and offers a lot of upside as a pass-catcher. Has a quick release and good acceleration. Has limitations due to his size and is not very effective as a blocker. Could benefit from improving YAC abilities and becoming an even bigger threat through the air.

Grade: Round 5

Gerald Everett

12

Charlie Kolar

TE / IOWA ST. / 6'6 / 256

4241263.png

Kolar is a big tight-end with extremely reliable hands. He has a good IQ and high awareness. He is a lackluster athlete who does not possess explosiveness, burst, or separation ability. Kolar is relatively limited due to his athleticism, but could be a good depth option for his reliability and awareness. Kolar Needs to improve as a blocker. Limited in YAC situations.

Grade: Round 6

Dallas Goedert
